Marcellars Sanchez

Marcellars Sanchez, 92, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2022, in San Angelo.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM Friday, December 30, 2022, at New Birth Full Gospel Assembly with family members, Pastor Leo McCarty and Pastor Michael Luckett, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mr. Sanchez was born April 22, 1930 in San Angelo where he was a 1948 graduate of Blackshear High School. Marcellers was a veteran of the US Air Force for four years. Marcellers worked for Shannon Medical Center for a total of 51 years in various departments upon retirement in January of 2016. At the time of his retirement, Marcellers was the only employee working for over 51 years. He was a member of New Birth Full Gospel Assembly. Marcellars participated in league bowling where he bowled several 300 games. He liked playing Atari games, dominos, and cards.

Survivors include his four daughters, Phyllis Tolis of Houston, Tiwana Luckett and husband Michael of Boerne, Sharon McCarty and husband Leo of San Angelo, and Roxann Lyons and husband Dwight of Austin; a sister, Pearl Lacy of San Antonio; 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
