Nathan Shay Ross, 42, of San Angelo passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022.

Shay was born on August 26, 1979 in Muleshoe, TX. to Ollie and Lydia Ross. He attended Olton schools. He joined the U.S. Navy in 2002 where he served aboard the USS Enterprise CVN 65 as a Maintenance Technician for the E-2C aircraft and was honorably discharged in 2007. He received an associate degree in Welding Technology from Peninsula College in Port Angeles, Washington. Shay loved cooking and worked as a cook at several restaurants and was a D. J. on the back patio for one night. If it was storming, you bet he was in the middle of it. He loved playing dominoes with anyone but especially trying to beat his dad and sister Fonda. His favorite things to do were setting off fireworks, skateboarding, playing basketball, and playing road trip games naming capitals. Shay was fun loving, a pet lover, and a huge prankster.
He was preceded in death by his mother and 2 brothers, Ollie Royce Ross, Jr. and Clinton Dewey Ross.
Survivors include his two daughters, Caitlin Ross of Brady and Sadie Ross of Mason; his grandson, Adam Bradley of Brady; his father, Ollie Royce Ross, Sr., his two sisters, Fonda Ross-Pierce and husband Gary of San Angelo and Chona Ross of Tulia; and his dog, June Bug; Shaybug was also loved and adored by his nieces, Tiff, Tandy, Sam, Tantha; nephews, Dakota and Ty; and also loved by his great nieces and nephews.
