Raymunda Carrillo Dominguez, 84, of San Angelo, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, June 21, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
Public viewing will be from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM Sunday, June 25, 2023, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Mass will be at 10:00 AM Monday, June 26, 2023, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Joey Faylona, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Ramona, as everyone knew her, was born May 4, 1939, in Crowley, Colorado, the 4th of 13 children, to parents, Francisco and Emeteria (Reyes) Carrillo.
Ramona grew up in Crowley, then moved with her family to Ulysses, Kansas. Ramona helped raise her many younger siblings and was nicknamed "Reyna" by her big family. Ramona married the love of her life, Rudolfo Dominguez, Sr., September 26, 1958, at the courthouse, in Ulysses. Ramona followed her new husband to San Angelo. There, they continued building their family and eventually started a business. Ramona spent her days as a homemaker and caring for her children, then grandchildren.
Ramona is survived by her loving husband of almost 65 years, Rudolfo Dominguez Sr.; her son, Rudy Dominguez, Jr. and partner Sadie of San Angelo; a daughter, Patsy Ortiz and husband, Robert, of Lubbock; a daughter, Eucebia Dominguez and fiancé, Daniel Cardenas, of San Angelo; a daughter, Carol Dominguez, of San Angelo; a sister, Ruth Partida and husband, Louie, of Johnson City, Kansas; a sister, Lupe Beltran, of Ulysses, and a brother, Gabriel Carrillo, of Ulysses; other survivors include multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Ramona was preceded in death by her daughters, Leticia Marie Dominguez and Rosalinda Velasquez; best friend/sister-in-law, Josie "Pepa" Ramirez, a brother-in-law, Joe "Loco" Dominguez, all of San Angelo; a grandson, Joshua Tijerina, of San Antonio; others who preceded her in death include brothers, Frank Carrillo, of Johnson City, Kansas; Teddy Carrillo, of Kansas City, Missouri, Tony Carrillo, of Ulysses, John Carrillo, of Ulysses, Cruz Carrillo, of Denver, Colorado; her sisters, Cipiana Bazon, of Quincey, Washington, Linda Beltran, of Ulysses, Janie Carrillo, of Crowley, Anita Valdez of Ulysses.
Ramona's family would like to give a special thank you to caregiver, Nicole Vasquez, for all the love and care you gave to our beautiful mother, also thank you to Tammy and Debbie of St. Gabriel's Hospice, and Diana of HOSA, for the wonderful, end of life care provided.
Ramona will always be remembered for her love of singing, "Volver Volver", her beautiful smile, and the love she always gave to others, every day of her grand life.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Bruno Velasquez Jr., Dallas L. Rivas, Esrael J. Hernandez, John-Richard B. Velez, Anthony R. Dominguez, and Luke J. Velez. Honorary pallbearers include Esrael Hernandez and Christian Delgado.
