Able Medina Guzman, 66, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at his home surrounded by family. Rosary will be said at 6:00 PM Monday, October 8, 2018, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 9, 2018, with Rev. J.T. Tucker, chaplain of Shannon Medical Center, officiating. Burial will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. Mr. Guzman was born January 18, 1952 in Del Rio. He has been a lifelong resident of San Angelo, attending Lake View High School. Abel was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Vietnam Conflict stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He married Lionor Sustaita on January 1, 1990 in San Angelo. Abel was a truck driver for many years. He was considered by his family as a "Jack of all trades". He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Aurelia Guzman and two brothers, Leon Guzman and Jesus "Jessie" Guzman. Survivors include his wife, Lionor Guzman of the home; 3 daughters, Vanessa Guzman-Torres and husband JoeMingo of San Angelo, Monica Lozano and husband of San Antonio and Erika Munoz and husband of San Angelo; four sons, Bonifacio Gonzalez and wife Michelle of Temple, Paul Soto of Andrews, Pete Soto and wife Yesenia of San Jose, California and Pat Soto of San Angelo; five sisters, Sonia Guzman Lujan of San Angelo, Alice Ramirez and husband Antonio of San Angelo, Patsy Estrada and husband Albert of Sterling City, Juanita Casares and husband Roberto of San Antonio and Sylvia Cote and husband Ray of San Diego, California; 15 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
