Adam M. Gaitan, 67, of San Angelo, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018, in San Angelo. Rosary services will be 6:00 PM Sunday, February 18, 2018, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Monday, February 19, 2018, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Father Joey Faylona, officiating. Adam was born October 15, 1950 in San Angelo and at the age of 17 he enlisted to go fight for freedom in the U.S Army serving during the Vietnam War. Lifelong resident of San Angelo. He was a cabinet maker for Terrill Manufacturing for 17 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose D. Gaitan and Ricarda L. Miranda and a sister, Mary Ellen Hornsby. Survivors include a son, A. Dan Gaitan and wife Monica of Albuquerque, NM; a daughter, Diane Nickens and husband Frank of Montrose, PA; beloved ex-wife, Nina Serbin of San Angelo; two brothers, Sam Gaitan and wife Yolanda and Joe Gaitan all of San Angelo; his twin brother, Roy Gaitan of San Angelo; two sisters, Jackie Dawson and husband Charles of Amarillo, Eva Valles and husband James of San Angelo; special niece Cassy Alcantar, along with numerous other nieces and nephews; two step daughters, two step sons, several step-grandchildren, longtime companion Anna Hernandez along with his little furry companion, Guerro Gaitan. Pallbearers will be Eric Valles, Dr. James Valles, Jr., Sammy Gaitan, Orlando Ponce, Sergio "Cheko" Mendoza and Red Guzman. Brother, I know you couldn't wait for me, say hello to momma and daddy.
