Adelina "Lina" Morales was born on May 4, 1958 in Sweetwater, Texas to Joe and Francis Castro. She married Alfred Morales Jr. on June 26, 1982, and spent 42 years building a family and community.
Lina began her educational journey at Western Texas College in Snyder, TX where she received her associates. After graduating from Angelo State University with her Bachelor's in Business in 1980, Lina followed her true calling in 1981 by joining the President's office where she would call home for the next 42 years. A decision that would change not just her life, but the lives of so many more.
Serving as the Executive Assistant to the President, Lina had the privilege of supporting five different college presidents. She helped design the ASU ring and worked to do her part to make ASU what it is today.
A devoted Catholic, Lina actively supported Angelo Catholic School where her sons attend elementary school. She found joy supporting her sons' activities with Southern Little League and continued that support at ASU being the unofficial mom to her sons' organizations and all their friends. Her greatest joy was making memories with her sons, daughter-in-law, granddaughters and family. She was a mother, mentor, and friend to so many and through them her legacy will live on.
Adelina is proceeded in death by her parents Joe and Francis Castro of Sweetwater, TX
She is survived by her loving husband Alfred of San Angelo; her children David Morales, Adrian Morales and wife Anna. Grandchildren Amora and Amari Morales. Brother Arthur Castro and wife Sandra and sister Amy Sibert.
