Rita Aguilar, age 79, of San Angelo passed away on Saturday April 12, 2008 at a local hospital. Rosary services will be 7:00 PM Monday April 14, 2008 at the Robert Massie Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM Tuesday April 15, 2008 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Quirino Cornejo, officiating. Burial will follow at Belvedere Memorial Park. Rita was born October 13, 1928 in San Pedro, CA. to Sepriano and Juanita Armendariz. She was a housewife and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She married Juan Aguilar on November 11, 1944 in San Pedro, Mexico. She is preceded in death by her husband, Juan Aguilar who passed away on March 1, 2005 after 60 wonderful years together, one son Fernando Aguilar, one daughter, Felipa Gomez, her parents, and one brother and one sister. She is survived by three sons, Gonzalo Aguilar and wife, Ofelia; Diego Aguilar and wife, Rosa; and Jesus Aguilar all of San Angelo; Five Daughters, Maria Saldivar and husband Ben; Victoria Roman and Husband, Roberto; Teresa Mascorro and husband, Elisandro; Cecilia Mascorro and Husband Beto, all of San Angelo and Rosabelia Romo of Sonora, Texas; a daughter in law, Josefina Aguilar of San Angelo; Forty Grandchildren and numerous Great Grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jesse Aguilar, Gonzalo Aguilar, Jesse Romo, Rolando Roman, Gilbert Mascorro and Fernando Mascorro. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Vista Care Hospice and the 3rd floor Doctors and nurses at Community Hospital for the excellent care given to Rita and our family.
