Alan Ray "Bill" Daugherty, 83, passed away Monday, February 7, 2022.

Family visitation will be Monday, February 14, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Robert Massie Funeral Home in San Angelo. Graveside Masonic rites will be given at 11:00 AM Tuesday,

February 15, 2022 in Fairview Cemetery, Bronte, by Masonic Lodge #570. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Alan was born in Childress County, Texas on June 16, 1938. He met and married the love of his life, Donna Brunson, on November 12, 1965. The marriage was an instant family with Mark and Laurie whom he loved and raised as his own children. His son Heidel was born into the family soon after. He was a loving husband and father who was very proud of all of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Alan retired from GTE in 1991 after 30 years of service. He was a member of  and Past Master of Masonic Lodge #570 in San Angelo.

Alan is preceded in death by his parents Edgar Ray Daugherty and Alma Fannie Daugherty, brothers James, Joe, Gene and sisters Dot Mason and Sue Cash.

Alan is survived by his wife of 56 years, Donna Brunson Daugherty of San Angelo; his three children, Heidel Daugherty and husband Rob Kelly of Spring, Mark Saunders and Cindy of Bronte and Laurie Saunders of San Angelo; his brother, Micky Daugherty of Victoria; three Grandchildren, Judd Toeppich and wife Brandi of Comanche, Bailey Leeton and husband Drew of Sweetwater, Gus Saunders and wife Jennifer of San Angelo; five great grandchildren, Hagen Leeton, Hylan Leeton, Levi Saunders, Levi Toeppich and Myla Toeppich; and several nieces and nephews.
