On Sunday, October 3, 2010, Alan Dwight 'œAK'� Kennedy went to meet his Lord. His faith never wavered during his courageous battle with cancer. He was a loving father devoted to his daughter. A welder by trade, Alan possessed a musician'™s soul and spent much of his life playing the drums. For the last 10 years he served as a member of the 11th Hour Celebration Band at First United Methodist Church. He was a strong believer in Christ and was a caring father, son and friend who will be dearly missed. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Dale Weise officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00p.m. Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Alan is survived by his daughter, Jamie Ruth Kennedy; mother, Doris Kennedy both of San Angelo; sister, Lana Pearce and her husband Dale; nephew, Dusty Pearce and his wife Jane; niece, Jana Pearce all of Brady; Jamie'™s mother, Bonnie Kennedy of San Angelo; and her other children, Krista Thomsen and her husband Chris of Lancaster, Calif.; and Tucker Green and his wife Jocelyn of San Angelo.
