Alberto "Tico" Flores

Alberto "Tico" Flores, 74, passed away Monday, December 30, 2024 in Lubbock.

Public viewing will be from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM Friday, January 10, 2025 with a Rosary being prayed at 6:00 PM at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 11, 2025, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Mertzon with Father Mamachan Joseph, officiating. Burial will follow in Mertzon Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Tico was born June 14, 1950 in Plainview to Jesus and Guadalupe Garcia Flores. He was the 9th of 13 children. He attended school in Plainview and Mertzon and eventually called Mertzon home. Tico was a man of many talents and a very hard worker. He could build you a house from the ground up and knew every aspect from laying the foundation to installing the roof.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ramon Flores and Elias Flores; and three sisters, Olivia Flores, Perfecta Aguero and Maria Subia and a great-granddaughter, Zoela Hardin.

Tico is survived by three kids, Allison Flores, Elsa Flores and Richard Flores; four brothers, Juan O. Flores, Vincente O. Flores, Miguel Flores, and Jesus Flores, Jr,; three sisters, Dolores Martinez, Olivia Rodriquez and Jessica Flores; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

He will be missed by all who knew him.
