Alfred "Al" Stauning

Alfred "Al" Stauning, 76, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2018, in San Angelo. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, February 9, 2019, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Pastor Mike Dorman, associate pastor of PaulAnn Church, officiating. Military rights will be afforded by the US Navy. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. Mr. Stauning was born April 28, 1942 in Bagley, Minnesota. He was a retired veteran of the US Navy serving during Vietnam, serving 21 years receiving a Bronze Star. Al has been a resident of San Angelo since 1982. He was the owner/operator of Angelo Lawn and Hobby. Al was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Burney Stauning. Survivors include a son, Shawn Stauning of San Angelo; a daughter, Lorrie Gregg and husband Forrest of San Angelo; a brother, Richard Stauning of Minneapolis, Minnesota; a sister, Eva Converse and husband Bill of Greenville, Tennessee; two grandsons, Jarred and Arron.
