ALFREDO S. CASTANEDA

Alfredo Castaneda, 45, of Miles, passed away, Monday, January 17, 2005 in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 20, 2005 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Rev. Jesse Leya with the Genesis Baptist Church will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Miles Cemetery. Alfredo was born September 27, 1959 in Lockney, TX to Julian and Margarita Castaneda. Alfredo lived and attended public schools in Plainview, and where he married Velma Chavez, on March 5, 1979. They moved to Miles in l990 and there he worked as a carpenter. He will be missed by his family and by those whose lives he touched. Survivors are: Wife:Velma Castaneda Daughters:Mary Vega and husband, Andrew Monica Castaneda Three Sons:Alfredo Castaneda Jr. and wife, Brenda Gabriel Castaneda A.J. Castaneda and Brandi Wells All of Miles Father:Julian Castaneda Mother:Margarita Castaneda One sister:Delia Castaneda all of Plainview Two brothers:Daniel Castaneda of Lamar, Colorado Julian Castaneda and wife, Emily of Pueblo, Colorado Five grandsons:Li Castaneda, Andrew Castaneda, Alfredo Castaneda III, Jose Luis Castaneda and Adam James Castaneda all of Miles Numerous nieces and nephews Pallbearers will be Alfredo Castaneda Jr., Gabriel Castaneda, A.J. Castaneda, Julian Castaneda, Daniel Castaneda and Ernest Valdez.
