Alfredo M Garivay, Jr. went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at a local hospital. Rosary will be held at 7:00pm on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Pastor Sandra Ornelas of Peace, Grace and Mercy Word of Faith Center of The Colony and Associate Pastor Julian Falcon of Word of Life. Burial will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. Alfredo was born on April 1, 1954 in San Angelo to Alfredo and Manuela Garivay. He married Elida Hernandez on March 27, 1976 in San Angelo. Alfredo worked for the City of San Angelo for over 20 years, he was a hard worker who cared greatly for his family. He was a hero to his family, taking the time to teach his sons how to be true men. Alfredo was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed camping and fishing, some of his other favorite pastimes were listening to music, watching movies and spending time with his loving grandchildren. Alfredo will be deeply missed by all those who loved him. Alfredo is survived by his Wife, Elida Garivay, Son, Alfredo (Cyndi) Holguin, Son, Jeffery Hernandez, Son, Jason Aaron Garivay, Son, Alfredo (Erica) Garivay, III, Brother, Ector Garivay all of San Angelo, Sister, Sandra G. (Guillermo) Ornelas of The Colony, TX, Sister, Belinda (Richard) Sigala of Irving, TX, Sister, Terri Narducci of Killeen, TX, Brother, Manuel Rocha of San Angelo, TX, Brother, Joe Avalos of Abilene, TX, 15 Grandchildren, Numerous Nieces and Nephews.
