Alice Agnes (Smith) Konze

Alice Agnes Smith Konze, 88, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 2, 2022, in San Angelo.

Memorial Services will be at 10:30 AM Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Pastor Paul Dunbar, officiating. Services are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mrs. Konze was born March 17, 1934 in Hampstead, Maryland. Alice married Edwin Konze on June 15, 1957 in Snydersburg, Maryland. He preceded her in death on October 2, 2001. Alice achieved her bachelor's degree in education from Towson State Teachers College in Towson, Maryland. Alice taught one year at Baltimore County School, five years at Delmar Elementary School and 30 years at Westside Intermediate School in Hebron, Maryland, she retired after 36 years teaching. Alice moved to San Angelo in 1997. Alice volunteered at Ft. Concho National Historic Landmark in the Docents Program. She was a member of Sierra Vista United Methodist Church. Alice loved reading, knitting, gardening, her family and the Lord. Alice's family considered her to be a true Proverbs 31 woman.

Survivors include her daughter, Susan Dunbar and husband Chris of San Angelo; her two grandsons, Paul Dunbar and wife Leslie of Opelika, Alabama, and Phillip Dunbar and wife Krystel of Searcy, Arkansas; her granddaughter, Corinne Riggs and husband Joe of Bates City, Missouri; 10 great grandchildren; and her very close friends, Earnest and Courtney Smith of Cibolo.
