Alton Wallace Richter, 86 of Eola following complications after surgery passed away peacefully at a local hosptial on Thursday night December 13, 2012 Visitation will be 10:00 am Monday December 17, 2012 at the Robert Massie Funeral Home with family there from 5:00 to 8:00 to receive friends. Funeral will be 10:00 am Tuesday December 18, 2012 at the Mt Calvary Lutheran Church in Eola with Rev. Thomas Baden, officiating. Burial will follow at Eola Cemetery. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Alton was born June 25, 1926 in Bishop, Texas to Paul and Louise (Myers) Richter. He worked at the Mikeska Gin and Grain in Eola for forty plus years. Alton loved to dance, waltz and country were his favorites. He was dancing until the end. He is preceded in death by his parents; five brothers and four sisters. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Survivors include his daughter, Marilyn Lowe of San Angelo; son, Eugene Richter of Plainview; a sister, Dora Doleman of Baytown; three grandsons.
