Anita Hernandez Jones

Anita Hernandez Jones, 90, of San Angelo, passed away on Monday March 20, 2017 at a local care center Shannon West Texas Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 22, 1926 to Andres and Esperanza (Subia) Hernandez in Miles, TX. Anita for the majority of her adult life worked as a private sitter for Mr. Mackee, Mr. Ball and Mrs. Neecy. Anita married Moises Martinez on 12-24-1945 and lived a happy life for 35 years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church also attend The Victory Outreach Church. She was preceded in death by Father, Andres Hernandez, Mother, Esperanza Hernandez , Sisters Josephine Ramirez, Amelia Sanchez, Helen Fitchet , Armeda Hernandez, and Catarina Rivera, one brother John Hernandez. Anita is survived by her loving , Daughter, Ninfa Martinez Heath of San Diego; Three Sons, The Rev Dr. Moises Martinez, Jr. of Sugar Land, TX, Joel Martinez of San Angelo, TX, David Martinez of Lubbock; Sister, Mary Rodriguez of San Angelo; Grandchildren; Michela Coffman, Yvonne Aguirre, Joel Martinez Jr., Andrea Chapoy, Rosa Martinez, Kristopher Martinez, Lauren Maritinez Moody, Moises Martinez III, Jesus Delgado, Angelita Martinez, Monica Martinez, David Martinez, David Martinez Jr., Rae Ann Martinez. 16 Great Grandchildren & 11 Great Great Grandchildren. Pallbearers; Moises Martinez Jr., Joel Martinez, Joel Martinez Jr., David Martinez, Jesus Delgado, and Kevin Chapoy. Rosary will be held at 7:00pm Friday March 24th at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00am Saturday, March 25, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church, with Father Joey Faylona, officiating. Burial will take place in the Miles Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
