ANTONIA FICHETT JIO

Antonia Fitchett Jio, 85, of San Angelo passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2011 in a local care center. Antonia was born on March 29, 1925 in Bronte, Texas to Juan and Sarapia (Fernandez) Fitchett. She was a housewife. A rosary will be held at 7:00pm Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am Thursday, February 24, 2011 at St Joseph Catholic Church with Father Emilio Sosa officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Joe Minjarez, Tommie Regino, Albesa Minjares, Sylvia Grimaldo, Anna Hernandez, and Alicia Bastardo. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Galindo, Jaime Mata, Jose Trevino, Robert Trevino, Michael Trevino, and Mario Jio. Following the service, the family and friends will be gathering at 1217 S. Irving for food and fellowship. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, and five brothers. She is survived by daughter, Norma Martinez and husband Jaime of San Angelo; sons, Paul Jio and his wife Nellie of San Angelo; and Henry Jio of San Angelo; grandchildren, Michael Dela Cruz and his wife Camille of Abilene; Brandon Dela Cruz of Abilene; Destinee Dela Cruz of Abilene; Crystal Martinez of San Angelo; Abraham and Isreal Rangel of San Angelo; Miranda Jio and Matthew Jio of Houston; step grandchildren; Jimmy Rios of San Angelo and Rita Moreno of Mereta. Special thanks to Park Plaza Nursing Home and VistaCare Hospice and her niece Sylvia Grimaldo, other nieces and nephews.
