Antonia came to West Texas as an infant settling with her mother, uncles, aunts, and cousins in Sheffield, TX. She spent her entire life in the West Texas area, meeting her future husband, Gustavo G. Trevino Sr., around the start of WWII. They wed on November 14, 1941 in Ft. Stockton, TX before his deployment. While away at war, Antonia decided to move with her infant son to San Angelo to be closer to her mother who had recently relocated there. San Angelo became home for Antonia and Gustavo after his return from the war in 1945. Antonia began her medical career in radiology at Shannon Hospital in the 1950's, then later worked with the physician group at Doctors Clinic, which later merged with Angelo Clinic Association, now known as Shannon Clinic. She retired from Shannon Clinic in 1988. During her career, she came to know and admire many medical professionals who became lifelong friends. The joy of her life and what she was most proud of was her boys and their families. She often spoke of them and her joy always emanated from her face when talking about them and her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Antonia was a Jehovah's Witness and symbolized her faith by water baptism in January 1975. She spoke to many about her faith in Jehovah God and His son, Jesus Christ and the future hope of a resurrection. Antonia was preceded in death by her husband Gustavo, parents Gabriel and Juana Tarin and brother Manuel Ybarra. She is survived by three sons, Robert Trevino and wife Lucy, Gustavo Trevino, Jr. and wife Tammy, David Trevino and wife Carmen.
