Aurora Aguirre Ontiveros

Aurora Aguirre Ontiveros, 84, passed away Friday, October 22, 2021, in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Public viewing will be from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM with the rosary being prayed at 6:00 PM Monday, October 25, 2021, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Mass will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Joey Faylona, officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ontiveros was born October 5, 1937 in Casa Piedra, Texas. Aurora married Julian Ontiveros on April 16, 1953 in Marfa. He preceded her in death on June 13, 1999. Aurora has been a resident of San Angelo for 60 years. She worked at the Levi Straus Co. and at Angelo State University. Aurora was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She loved knitting, crocheting, gardening, and reading.

Survivors include her children, Freddie Ontiveros and wife Sandy and, Chriselda Deanda and husband Raul all of San Angelo; her siblings, Lourdes Aguirre of Marfa, George Aguirre and wife Frances of Cimarron, New Mexico, Kiki Aguirre and wife Petra of Marfa, Sylvia Torrez and husband Zefereno of Monahans, Raymond Aguirre of Ft. Stockton, and Tony Aguirre of Cimarron, New Mexico; a brother-in-law, Sifredo Ontiveros, Sr. and wife Gregoria of Odessa; seven grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, an a great-great granddaughter.

The family would like to thank Mary Martinez for the love and care provided the past eight years, and to her two, Interim HealthCare Hospice, nurses, Sarah and Kayla who provided such loving care and comfort.
