Barbara Lee McAda, 60, of San Angelo, TX passed away in the early morning of Monday, February 20, 2017 at a local hospital. Barbara was born at St. John's hospital in San Angelo, TX on November 30, 1956 to Bill and Wanda Leigh Morton. Barbara grew up in San Angelo and surrounding areas and attended Lake View High School. Barbara loved to be surrounded by family and friends, especially at Lake Nasworthy, camping. She was at home most at the lake. Barbara worked for a majority of her life in the MHMR industry working with persons with intellectual disabilities until her forced medical retirement in 1987, and she loved her consumers with a full heart. She was employed at San Angelo Development Center and San Angelo State School. Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Bill Morton and wife Donna, mother Bonnie Leigh Sellars and husband Elton, brother Robert Morton, and father in law, William "Paw" McAda. Barbara is survived by her husband of 42 years, Brent McAda, and her daughter Shelly and husband Darren Bailey, and grandson Warren Bailey and his longtime girlfriend Jacy Clark, all of San Angelo. She is also survived by her sister Patricia Park and husband Billy, brothers Arthur Morton, Clarence Foley and wife Tarala, Chris Foley and wife Jennifer, Jackie Foley and wife Tammie, all of San Angelo. Barbara is also survived by her mother in law, Pirla "Maw" McAda. A celebration of life service is planned for Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Texas Veterans for Veterans (TVFV) meeting hall, located at 1905 Pulliam St. from 2 PM - 5 PM in a come and go fashion. In Lieu of flowers, please make a donation in mother's name at Meals for the Elderly or Rust Street Ministries.
