Beatrice G. Rivas

Beatrice G. Rivas, 88, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 in a local care center. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 am Friday, February 13, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Emilio Sosa officiating. Burial will follow Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Assumption Chapel Mausoleum and Cemetery. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Beatrice was born November 13, 1926 in to Fernando and Dorothea (Perez) Guerra in Granger, Texas. She worked as a housekeeper for local care centers. On February 13, 1945 she married Saragosa Rivas in Lampasas, Texas. Saragosa and Beatrice both lived in San Angelo, Texas. Pallbearers will be Carlos Martinez, Robert Martinez, Jerry Hinojosa, Chris Hinojosa, Bobby Hinojosa, and Charlie Soto. She was preceded in death by her, parents; husband; son, Richard Rivas; sister, Tomasa Moreno; brothers, Carlos Guerra; Frank Guerra; Domingo Guerra; Julio Guerra; and a son-in-law, Santiago Gonzales. Beatrice is survived by three daughters, Margie Arnold and her husband Carl; Noelia Martinez; and Yolanda Gonzales all of San Angelo; two sons, Rene Rivas and his wife Mary of Lovington, New Mexico; Norberto and his wife Irma of Austin; two brothers, Ramiro Guerra and Maugro Guerra and his wife Lola; sixteen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. The family would like say "thank you" to Park Plaza Nursing & Rehabilitation staff.
