Belia Sevier

Belia Sevier, 96, formerly of San Angelo passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 in Corpus Christi.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Friday, December 20, 2024 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with a rosary being prayed at 3:00 PM. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Belia Sevier was born on June 22, 1928 in Del Rio to Jose and Maria Salazar Briones. She graduated from San Angelo Central High School. Belia and L. G. Sevier were married on July 6, 1949 in San Angelo and they shared 59 wonderful years together. She was a cafeteria worker at San Angelo ISD for a number of years before becoming a homemaker. Belia was a member at St. Mary's Catholic Church for many years and helped her husband teach religious classes. She was loving and was a great cook.

Belia was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Irene Farrell; and two brothers, Vicente Briones and Joe Briones.

Survivors include son, Fernando Sevier and wife, Esperanza of Corpus Christi; daughter; Leticia Kurtz Des Moines, Iowa; a sister, Ofelia Benitez; Grandchildren, John Farrell and wife Karen, Kristi Farrell, Wesley Sevier, Jason Kurtz; Jessica Walthers; Jennifer Kurtz; Great Grandchildren, Blake Farrell, Brooke Farrell, Brock Farrell, Skylar Sevier, Madelyn and Caiden Walthers; and a Great-Great Grandson Greyson.
