BENITO " BEN" GOMEZ

Benito Gomez, 38, of Miami, FL passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2008 at a hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 2, 2008 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Deacon Abel Fernandez officiating. Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at St. Josephs Catholic Church with Father Quirino Cornejo, officiating, and Father Joseph Vathalloor, concelebrating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Benito was born September 20, 1969 in Muscatine, Iowa to Benito Gomez Sr. and Mary O. Luna Gomez. Benito loved tattoos and his most proud artwork was when his mom's name was placed next to his heart. He was preceded in death by his beloved father Benito Gomez Sr., maternal grandparents Jose and Maria Luna and his paternal grandfather Antonio Gomez. Survivors include his three sons Benito III, Anthony, and Guy; mother Mary Fernandez and her husband, Abel Fernandez, of San Angelo; Raquel Maldonado, the loving mother of his children, of Florida, two sisters, Marilyn Hernandez and husband Alejandro, Kimberly Holden and husband Mark one brother Manuel Moncibais Jr, Grandmother Audelia Gomez fiancé Leticia Quiroz of Georgia, numerous aunts and uncles, nephews and nieces, all of San Angelo. Pallbearers will be Manuel Moncibais Jr., Alejandro Hernandez, Jose Hernandez, Daniel Hernandez, Ruben Ramirez, Rudy Hernandez, Paul Cortez Jr., and Jose Luna Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Benito Gomez III, Anthony Gomez, Guy Gomez and Nathan Holden.
