Benjamin Kirk Bushner Benjamin Kirk Bushner passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on March 14, 2012, at the age of 56. Family visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 16, 2012 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Following services friends and family will gather at the home of LaDell Lemmons. Arrangements are by Robert Massie Funeral Home. Kirk fought the good fight and his spirit was unstoppable. God chose to take him home too early with cancer. Kirks story was a fight for identity, no matter the cost, sometimes which seemed too great. Kirk was born on May 21, 1955 in Denver, CO to parents LaDell and Gerald Bushner. Kirk attended school in San Angelo, TX; Yuma, CO, Peacock Military Academy in San Antonio and Sterling College in Sterling, CO. In 1973 Kirk married LaTeresa Taylor and they had a daughter, Trinity Bushner. Kirk was an accomplished artist and his sense of humor led him to the cartoon world. His work has been published in numerous national publications. Kirk's great passions in his life were Harley Davidson motorcycles and music. Kirks greatest love was that of his family. Kirk was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Murrel and the Rev. Temple Lewis of Abilene, TX , Jewell and Ben Bushner of Yuma, CO; Step-Father, Dr. Maurice Lemmons of San Angelo, TX.; Sister, Laurel Lemmons and special Cousins, Stanley and Greg Warren and Clint Carpenter. Survivors include his Daughter, Trinity Bushner of Dallas, TX; his Mother, LaDell Lemmons and Doug Young of San Angelo, TX; his Father, Gerald and Phayne Bushner of Loveland, CO; Brother, Robert Bushner and his wife Tina Bushner of Denver, CO; his Sister, Michelle Lemmons Poscente and her Husband Vince Poscente of Dallas, TX; Step Brother, Dr. Ben Lemmons of Houston, TX; Nieces and Nephews, Shiela Bushner, Dana Bushner, Robert Bushner, Max Poscente, Alexia Poscente, Isabella Poscente and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
