Billy Don Clifton

Billy Don Clifton, 89, of San Angelo, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday June 28, 2017 at his residence. Bill was born on May 6, 1928 to Riley V. and Ella (Basham) Clifton in Cogar, OK. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother and four sisters. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Martha Day Clifton, children; Kandi Pool and husband, Ira, Kelly D. Clifton and wife, Sandy, Marta Brock and husband, Robert, Mark Clifton and wife, Linda and Tracey Payne and husband, Joe. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. Bill worked in the grocery business and with Kraft Foods from 1947 until 1963. He then purchased his own small store and ran that until 1967; after which, he went to work at Gibson's until his retirement in 1984. He retired a second time in 1995 from owning his own lawn and repair service. Special THANKS and a great deal of appreciation goes to Molly Riley who has been Bill's caretaker for over a year and to Hospice of San Angelo who saw to him in his last days Viewing is 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday June 30, 2017 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Memorial services are 11:00am Saturday, July 1, 2017, at College Hills Baptist Church, with Pastor Lakan Mariano, officiating.
