Blanche Watson, 94, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2009 at an area nursing home. Family visitation will be from 6:00pm to 8pm Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:00am, Thursday, February 5, 2009 at Immanuel Baptist Church with Reverend James Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Blanche was born on February 5, 1914 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada to Dr. Thomas Jefferson "T.J." and Nannye Byrd Caraway Percifull. She married K.B. Watson, known as the "iceman", on June 15, 1941 in Christoval, Texas, and they were married 55 years. She graduated Christoval High School in 1933. Blanche graduated from Daniel Baker College, later named, Howard Payne. She taught school in Sonora and here in San Angelo at the John H. Reagan elementary. She was a lifelong member and Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star Concho Chapter 826 ,VFW Ladies Auxiliary member and a lifetime member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Her joy was her family, her church, her school children and singing with the "Melody Makers" the senior choir. Her loving heart, sweet spirit, hugs, and smiles were available for all. She was loved by all who knew her and we will miss her never failing faith and positive enthusiasm. She was preceded in death by her parents, T.J. Percifull and Nannye Bryd Caraway Percifull and her husband, K.B. Watson, and sister, Malvana Percifull White. She is survived by her daughters, A. Kay Watson Foley and husband Phillip R. Foley of San Angelo; Patricia Ann Watson of Lewisville; sons, Thomas Lynn Watson and wife Myeong of Springfield, Virginia; Alan Glynn Watson and wife Mona of Lakewood, Washington; grandchildren, Shane G. Hill and wife; Amy S. Hill of Christoval, Stephanie, Brian and Katie Watson of Springfield, Va., Sean, Michael and Anna Claire Watson of Lakewood, Wa., Great Grandchildren; Hannah and Riley Hill of Christoval, Tx. Others she loved were; Harriet Garmon Anani of Vancouver, Wa., Grace Braziel of San Angelo, Donna Pyle of Lewisville, Tx., Lynn Clark of Coppell, Tx., and Jeff Sipes of Grandbury, Tx.; extended family and numerous friends. A special thanks to all who cared for her at St. Angelus and Myrtlewood Estates who went above and beyond their call to provide her with a quality of life, unsurpassed. She was their "Blanchie" or "Miss Blanche" Pallbearers will be Sons; Thomas Lynn Watson and Alan Glynn Watson; grandson; Shane G. Hill, Jeff Sipes, Phillip R. Foley and Dennis Turpin Memorials in Blanche's name may be given to Hospice of San Angelo or Immanuel Baptist church.
