Bonnie Mae Piedfort,age 90, a long-time resident of San Angelo, Texas, passed away to join her husband in heaven on March 20,2006 in San Antonio, Texas. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m.,Friday, March 24,2006 at Robert Massie Funeral Home, 402 Rio Concho Dr, San Angelo, Texas. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 25, 2006 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Pastor Roger Blocker,of The Heights Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are made by Robert Massie Funeral Home. Bonnie Piedfort was born to Jess and Mary Winters on July 11,1915 in Waco,Texas. She married Louis V. Piedfort on January 22,1936 in San Angelo,Texas, where they made their home and she continued to live after his death in 1983. She primarily worked in the home raising her four children, but also worked part-time for many, many years as a child care worker at Park Heights Baptist Church(now known as The Heights Baptist Church),where she was a loving caregiver, beloved by the children and parents who were the recipients of her God-given gifts. Bonnie Piedfort is preceded in death by her parents and husband; brothers, Robert and Bill Winters; sisters, Bessie Eaton, Lucille Miers, Lola Srader and Jeannie Lee, and four grandchildren. Bonnie Piedfort is survived by daughters, Pat Shoemake of Eastland, Texas, and Mary Lee Beene of Azle, Texas; sons, Pascual Piedfort of Austin, Texas, and Mark Piedfort of San Antonio, Texas; brothers, Jackie Winters and J. P. Winters, both of Bakersfield, California; sister, Audrey Haynes of Electra, Texas; and eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. The family extends sincere thanks for the many acts of kindness, assistance and friendship provided to Bonnie by her sister-in-law, Sue Winters, and by Bobby and Kitty Baucom.
