BREVARD TEMPLETON MAYS

Brevard "BeBe" Templeton Mays, 94, of San Angelo passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2005 in Midland. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 8, 2005 at Fairmount Cemetery with Pastor Nelson Erwin of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Arrangements are made by Robert Massie Funeral Home. BeBe was born November 14, 1910 in San Angelo to Dewitt Jefferson and Eugenia Sue Burk. She graduated from high school in San Angelo and went to WTU in Denton, majoring in English, graduating in 1932 with a BS Degree. BeBe taught in Tankersley for several years, and retired from Stephen F. Austin. She was a life time member of the First Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband the Honorable Judge Joe L. Mays, her son Joel Thomas Mays and two grandsons, Steve and Scott Mays. Survivors are: Daughter-in-law:Mrs. J.T. (Shirley)Mays Of Midland Grandchildren:Susan Mays Coe and husband, Darell Of Austin Tammy Armstrong and husband, Truman Mike Mahan and wife, Pat All Of Midland Scott Mathis Of Palestine Great-granddaughters:Michelle Mays Amanda Mays Both of Austin Step-great-grandchildren Cody Armstrong, and wife, Rosie of Odessa, Jerry Armstrong of Midland, Audrey Elaine Mathis of Denton. Great-great-step grandchild Lanie Paige Armstrong of Odessa. Dear to our hearts,Lou Mays and family of Midland. Pallbearers are Mike Mahan, Cody Armstrong, Jerry Armstrong and Truman Armstrong. Honorary pallbearers are Darell Coe and Scott Mathis.
