CARL F. HILL, JR.

Carl F. Hill, Jr., age 89, of Abilene passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at an Abilene area hospital. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at Belvedere Memorial Park with Pastor Fred Crenshaw officiating. Carl was born on October 18, 1918 in Rising Star to Carl and Lena Ethel Hill. He married Lavada Winans on April 28, 1951 in San Angelo, TX. She preceded him in death on January 11, 1999. Carl worked in construction for the civil service at Goodfellow Air Force Base. Carl was also preceded in death by his daughter, Jeanette Earnest and brothers, Skeet, Jack, C. B., Goule and Willard Hill. He is survived by a son, Ronnie Hill and wife, Pat of Lampasas, TX; son, Nealy Hill of San Antonio, TX; daughter Brenda Blanton and husband, Chuck of Comanche, TX; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren and numerous great great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Doug Earnest, Jimmy Earnest, Eddie Blanton, Randy Blanton, Ronnie Blanton, Ryan Hill, Ronnie Glover, Shane Glover and Stacy Hill. Brenda and Ronnie would like to extend a special thank you to Randy and Rhonda for all the many sacrifices they extended to their grandfather, also, a special thank you to Ellen Crisp for all her help.
