Carlos R. Gamez, 65, of San Angelo passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021.

Public viewing will be from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM Friday, September 3, 2021, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Ramiro Mendez, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home

On January 26, 1956, Carlos was born the youngest of eight children to Natividad and Thomasa Gamez. Carlos graduated San Angelo Central High School, class of 1975 and was the husband of Angelita F. Gamez, sharing 44 years of marriage. Carlos owned and operated Janmasters cleaning service, est. 1983.

He is survived by his wife, four children, one of which he adopted, one fantastic son-in-law, five living grandchildren, one of which he adopted, one pizza loving pooch, five ever so attentive felines, one kitten, one lizard, two grand dogs, two brothers, two sisters, numerous brother and sisters-in-law, cousins, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and the one that broke his heart, his beloved grandson of twelve years, four months, and seven days.

Carlos was a loving family man and friend to many. He adored and loved spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends, preferably all at the same time. In his early years he enjoyed his good times van, horseshoe pitching, goat cook offs, washer pitching and most recently, a corn hole lawn game by the pool with any manner of cold IPA in hand. Carlos always made you feel welcome and made sure you were fed and refreshed.
