Carmel Ann Booth, 80, of Christoval passed away June 16, 2016. A rosary service will be held Sunday, June 18th at 7:30 PM at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in San Angelo on Monday, June 19th at 10:00 AM with a burial to follow at the Christoval cemetery. Carmel Ann was born December 4, 1936 in Victoria, Texas to Bernard Joseph and Carmel (Rossi) Kloesel. She graduated from Nazareth Academy in 1953 and continued to be a lifelong supporter. She married Ernest Edgar Booth on May 19, 1956 in Victoria, Texas. She worked for the US Civil Service for many years. Her faith and her family were the focus of her life. She led a life of total devotion to her faith, husband, children and grandchildren. Her quiet strength, faith and love are an inspiration and tremendous example to all who have been blessed to know her. A life-long Catholic, she served as a 3rd order (Lay) Carmelite for 26 years for the San Angelo chapter in the different capacities including director, secretary and treasurer. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in San Angelo. She maintained close ties and fond relationships with the fellow Lay Carmelites in the San Angelo area, as well as with the Carmelite Hermits of Mount Carmel Hermitage and the Carmelite Nuns from the Our Lady of Grace Monastery both of Christoval. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ernest Booth and daughter Marie Ann Green. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Dougherty (husband Lynn Dougherty), and Sue Herndon (husband Rusty Herndon) both of Christoval, a son Ernest Booth, Jr. (wife Julie Booth) of San Angelo, two brothers Bernard Kloesel and Fred Kloesel and one sister Frieda Stubbs of Victoria TX, brother Charles Kloesel of Buffalo, TX, many grandchildren including Justin Dougherty, Ashley Bishop, Mathew Green, Melissa Milton, Kevin Green, Alyse Herndon, Lance Herndon, Brian Booth, Emily Wilde and Rebecca Booth. Great grandchildren include Jace Bishop, Cason Bishop, Madilyn Dougherty, Jakob Dougherty, Hailey Dougherty, Bryden Milton, Thomas Booth and soon to arrive Luke Herndon. The family requests that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to the Mount Carmelite Hermitage of Christoval, Our Lady of Grace Monastery of Christoval, and/or the Hospice of San Angelo. The family wants to extend a special thank you to Father Fabian and the Brothers at the Mt. Carmel Hermitage and to the caring people at Hospice of San Angelo.
