Carolann Swarts Freeman

Carolann Swarts Freeman, 65, of Azle, passed away on November 5, 2015 at her residence. Visitation will be 11 AM to 1 PM Tuesday November 10, 2015 at the funeral home. Funeral service will follow at 1 PM Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with burial to follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. She was born on November 23, 1949 to Russell and Leota (Steely) Swarts in Moulton, IA. Their family moved to San Angelo in 1956, where they made west Texas their home. She studied cosmetology before becoming a mother to Toni and Marcus. She moved to Cedar Creek to care for her parents in their last years. Cedar Creek is where she met husband Jeff Torrieri and spent the rest of her years by his side. Carolann was a very unique, caring, and loving person, who enjoyed life. Even during her fight with cancer, she was reluctant to give up her life. She shared a love for animals and especially her pets. Carolann is survived by: her husband, of 7 years, Jeff Torrieri of Azle, daughter Toni Saldana, and son Marcus Saldana both of Cedar Creek. She was preceded in death by: parents, brother James Swarts, and husband Tommy Freeman. She was loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
