Carolyn Urbantke

Carolyn Eva Wiley Urbantke, 78, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 26.2024, at home surrounded by family. Carolyn was born February 14, 1946, in Ballinger to parents David Troy Wiley and Lela Estelle Wiley Bennett.

The family will receive friends and have refreshments from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. A memorial service will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Carolyn was known for her contagious smile and her love for music, animals, and crafting. Her family was always her biggest blessings. She always had words of wisdom and a welcoming home for anyone. Even throughout her 10 plus year battle with Alzheimer's, she never lost her playful wit, her sarcastic eye rolls, and her sweet smile. She greeted everyone with a welcoming spirit and a story or two. Her greatest pleasure was quality time spent with family. Hours were spent reminiscing over time spent on the farm with her siblings all the way through the joys of watching her children grow.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, Troy Wiley and wife Betty; her mother, Lela Bennett and husband Warren; her brother, Delbert Wiley; sister, Kay Cape; brother-In-law, Nolan Hoelscher; and sister-in-law Dortha Wiley, and her in-laws Wesley and Rosie Urbantke.

She is survived by the love of her life, Lloyd Urbantke; her two daughters, Priscilla Taylor and husband Roger, Eva Pelzel; a son, David Urbantke; five grandchildren, Samantha Johnson and husband Josh, Renee Grissom, Aaron Taylor, Marcus Pelzel and wife Kaytlin and Macy Pelzel and fiancé Korbin Light; four great grandchildren, Jordan Johnson, Austin Johnson, Adaline Grissom, and Bradley Grissom; brothers, Gary Wiley, Milford Wiley and wife Jerrie, Kenneth Wiley and wife Janet; brothers-in-law, Dennis Cape, Alton Urbantke and wife Donna; sisters-in-law, Sandra Wiley and Rosalyn Hoelscher; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family would like to say a special thank you to all the caring and supportive staff at Hospice of San Angelo. Without you we would never have made it through. You are all angels who walk among us.
