CATHERINE BROWN DOD POSEY

Catherine Brown Dod Posey, 98, of San Angelo, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2005 in a local nursing home. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 13, 2005 at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Alpine, TX with Pastor Robert Kelley of the United Methodist Church of Marfa officiating. Arrangements are made by Robert Massie Funeral Home. Catherine was born February 8, 1907 of Blanco County, TX to John and Mary Brown. She was a school teacher, receiving her Masters of Education from Sul Ross in 1959. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Bob Dod; her second husband Cy Posey, five brothers and two sisters. Survivors are: Son:Robert Stockton Dod and wife, Vera of Marfa, TX Daughter:Laura L. Crowder and husband, Donald of Ira, TX Granddaughters:Cathey Crowder Kohutek of San Angelo Robin Dod Of Charlotte, NC Ninfa Terasas Daniella Sanchez Kim Hernandez All of Dallas Three grandsons:James Crowder and wife, Carol of Ira, TX Randy Wheeler of Odessa John Dod Steven Dod Both of Charlotte, NC Brother:Ben Brown Of Washington State In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
