CATRINA ALVAREZ

Catrina Alvarez, 79, of San Angelo, passed away Friday, March 25, 2005 at a local hospital. Rosary service will be held at 7:00 PM, Monday, March 28, 2005 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Mass of Christian service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at St. Mary Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Catrina was born April 30, 1925 in San Angelo to Agpeito and Jesusita Gonzalez. She married her husband, Benancio C. Valero, Sr., on February 14, 1946 in San Angelo. Ben passed away February 24, 1993. Catrina then married, Felipe Alvarez, on September 23, 1994 in San Angelo. Felipe passed away July 28, 2000. She was preceded in death by her parents, Agpeito and Jesusita Gonzalez and a daughter, Hope Munoz. Survivors include her son Ben Valero and wife Olga of San Angelo; daughter Sylvia Valero of San Angelo; son Robert Valero and wife Luz of Eldorado; fourteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; special niece Lupita Leon and numerous other nieces and nephews. The family extends a warm and loving thank you to the nursing staff of Five South at Shannon Medical Center for providing tender loving care for Caterina and also to Baptist Memorial Division Two.
