Cecil P. Caldera, 65, of San Angelo, passed away on January 17, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Cecil was born on July 4, 1951 to Juan and Asusana (Pedroza) Caldera in Groesbeck, TX. Cecil felt his greatest accomplishment was raising his loving family and spending his free time with his grandchildren. He was a devoted son and brother. Cecil proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict where he served 2 tours during which time he was awarded the Army Commendation Medal and continued to serve in the Army National Guard. He was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Cecil is preceded in death by his father, Juan Caldera, daughter, Eva Marie Caldera, son, James Daniel Caldera and a brother, Steve P. Caldera. Cecil is survived by his beloved Linda Caldera, mother, Asusana Caldera; sons, Cecil (Charlotte) Caldera, Jr.; Ted Caldera; Juan (Corrina) Caldera; Johnathon Grigsby all of San Angelo; Walter (Jayla) Grigsby of Farmers Branch, daughters, Stephanie (Isaias) Moreno of Tucson and Melinda Grigsby of San Angelo; granddaughters, Jennifer Rosales; Deanna Caldera; Alexis Caldera; Mary Ellen Caldera; Haylie Ruiz all of San Angelo; Isadora Moreno of Tucson; grandsons, Lance Caldera; Mason Grigsby; Nick Ruiz all of San Angelo and Cooper Moreno of Tucson and two great-grandchildren; sisters, Minnie Mirelez; Mary Barrera and Rita (Martin) Hernandez along with numerous nieces and nephews and lifelong friend and brother, Frank Lara. Family visitation will be held from 6pm-8pm on Friday, January 20, 2017, at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 10am on Saturday, January 21, 2017, at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Pastor Edgar Trinidad, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
