Cecilia Acosta Mendoza

Cecilia A. Mendoza, 90, of San Angelo, passed away on Thursday February 18, 2016 at a local care center . Visitation will be 10:00am to 8:00pm with rosary held at 7:00pm Monday February 22, 2016 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Private family burial will be held at a later date under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. She was born on January 15, 1926 to Francisco and Petra (Acosta) Martinez in Sanderson, TX. On March 13, 1967 she married Luis "Wimpe" Mendoza in Ballinger, TX. A wise most humble woman has gone to join her circle of angels now. Dancing in her garden with no more pain and suffering. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by parents , husband, brothers, Nolberto and Luis Martinez , Ignacio Garcia, sisters, Francisca Navarrette and Paulita De La Rosa and a grandson, JorgeLuis Ortiz. Cecilia is survived by her loving daughters, Mary Louise Mendoza and Janie Bara both of San Angelo, sons, Jimmy Louis Sanchez of Amarillo and Frank Martinez of CA, brother, Raymond Martinez, Sr. of Plainview, Grandchildren, Veronica "Ronni" (Andrew Garcia) Mendoza, Andrea Mendoza, Pedro Mendoza, Roxanne Mendoza, and Rosie (Joseph) Robles all of San Angelo, John Daniel Ibarra, Joey Ibarra, Adrian Herras all of Lubbock, Great grandson, Tajin Nathan Taylor of Amarillo, Great-granddaughter, Jasime F. Robles of San Angelo, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family wants to extend a special thank you to the staff at Cedar Manor and to Isabel Guzman, her home health provider, for the loving care shown to Cecilia.
