Cecilio Sanchez Garcia

Cecilio "Chilo" Garcia, 91, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2018, in San Angelo. Rosary services will be 6:00 PM, Thursday, January 31, 2018, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Mr. Jessie Aguire, deacon at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. Mr. Garcia was born June 17, 1927 in San Angelo where he was a lifelong resident. He was a veteran of the US Air Force serving during WWII in Germany. Chilo married Dora Alvarado on November 27, 1948 in San Angelo. She preceded him in death on September 25, 1999. He was a member of St Mary's Catholic Church. Survivors include a daughter, Rosaelva Grimaldo of San Angelo; two sons, Cecil A. Garcia, Jr. and wife Mary Ann and Mario Garcia all of San Angelo; five brothers, Rosendo Garcia Jr and wife Alicia, Cipriano Garcia, Frank Ruiz and wife Elida, Reginio Sanchez, Arthuro Sanchez; seven sisters, Irene Morales, Elizabeth Martinez and Husband Efrain, Raquel Garcia Kuhn and husband Gary, Gloria Garcia, Estrella Sanchez, Bertha Sanchez and Minerva Sanchez; 9 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Chilo was preceded in death by his parents, Rosendo Garcia and Maria Sanchez; two brothers, Armando Sanchez, Hector Sanchez; and three sisters, Dora Garcia, Aurora Gregor and Rosaelva Sanchez.
