CELESTINO G. RUIZ, SR.

Celestino G. Ruiz, Sr., 80, of San Angelo passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at an area hospital. Celestino was born on April 6, 1928 in Pecos, Texas to Eleuterio and Maria Gallegos Ruiz . He married Elodia Perez on August 19, 1950 in Cuidad Acuna, Coahuila, Mexico and was a minister at New Mount of Olives Assembly of God. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 17, 2008 at New Mount of Olives Assembly of God. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at New Mount of Olives Assembly of God. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. He was preceded in death by his wife Elodia Ruiz; daughter, Yolanda Ramirez; grandchildren, Amy Ramirez, Neil Ford II, and Macy Lynn Ruiz. He is survived by his daughters, Guadalupe R. Ford of Pine Bush, New York; Olivia Aguirre and husband Larry of Olympia, Washington; Susan Cummings of San Angelo; Ruth Ruiz of San Angelo; sons, Celestino P. Ruiz, Jr. of San Angelo; Samuel P. Ruiz and wife Susan of Brownwood; sister, Angelita Jaques and husband Henry of San Angelo; brothers, Manuel Ruiz, Sr. of San Angelo; Ignacio Ruiz, Sr. and wife Rosa of San Angelo; grandchildren, Jimmy Jimenez, Robert Jimenez, Daniel Ramirez, Mark Ruiz, Matthew Ruiz, Aaron Allen, Saundra Rodriguez, Christine Wood, Rebekah Cummings, Cynthia Ford, and Catherine Ford; great grandchildren, Isaac Jimenez and Javan Jimenez.
