Celia Ramirez Barron

Celia Ramirez Barron, 93 passed away on October 14, 2015 at her residence in Red Oak. A prayer service will be 6 PM Sunday, October 18, 2015 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 10 AM Monday, October 19, 2015, at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel, with Pastor Daniel Olivan officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. She was born on March 27, 1922 to Ruperto and Juana (Mendez) Ramirez in Del Rio. She married Jesus Barron on February 16, 1942 in San Angelo. Celia spent her life taking care of her large family. She enjoyed growing flowers and quilting. She was a member of Segunda Iglesia Bautista. Celia is survived by: her children, Jesse Barron, and wife Mary of San Angelo, Ilda Aguirre and husband Jesse of San Angelo, Esther Flores and husband Israel of San Angelo and Diana Cortez and husband Eliberto of Red Oak, daughter-in-law Alice Barron of San Angelo, brother Lucio Rameriz of Acuna, Mexico, 16 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by: her parents, her husband of 56 years, Jesus, and son Sam Barron. Pallbearers will be Aaron Flores, Zachary Rivera, Edward Deleon, Nolan Cortez, Elijah Davis, and Austin Barron.
