Celia Moreno

Celia S. Moreno, 73 of Eola went to be with the Lord on Sunday February 17, 2013 at a local care center surrounded by her family. Rosary will be 7:00pm Tuesday February 19, 2013 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00am Wednesday February 20, 2013 at St. Phillip Catholic Church in Eola with Rev. Yesu Mulakaleti and Rev. Joseph Choutapalli, co-officiating. Burial will follow at Mereta/Eola cemetery. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Celia was born February 10, 1940 in Orange Grove, TX., to Aristeo and Natividad (Perez) Sanchez. Following the death of her first husband, Isidro Felan, she married Arnulfo Moreno Sr., in July of 1965. They shared 30 wonderful years together until his passing on July 22, 1996. Pallbearers will be Andy Prieto Jr., Bobby Prieto, Mario Gamez Jr., Ernest Torres Jr., Johnny Moreno Jr. and Alex Torres. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers; Floyd Sanchez, Manuel Sanchez and Pete Sanchez, a sister; Emilia Sanchez and a son in law, Ernest Torres Sr., brother, Survivors include her four daughters; Vera Prieto and husband, Andy of Eola, Sally Thumsuden and husband, Frank of San Angelo, Irma Moreno of Eola, Norma McCall and husband, Rickie of Jacksonville, NC., two sons; Willie Moreno and wife, Rita of Mereta and Joe Moreno of San Angelo, step children; Mike Moreno and wife, Francis of San Angelo, Dolores Torres and Mary Urteaga, Arnulfo Moreno Jr. and wife, Rosa all of Eola, Yolanda Trevino and husband, Frank, Robert Moreno and wife, Margaret, both of San Angelo, Mario Moreno and wife, Kimberly of South Carolina and Johnny Moreno and wife, Ellie of Eola, a sister; Micaela Garcia of Odom, TX., forty-eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. The family wishes to give a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of 5th floor and the E.R. and the Oncology department at Shannon Medical Center.
