Chante Miree

Chanté Miree, 55, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with burial to follow in Belvedere cemetery.

Chanté was born on March 31, 1969 in Houston, Texas to Morris Nolan Sr. and Diane Miree. She moved to California in 1973 at the age of 4. She attended 94th St. Elementary school, Bret Harte Jr. High, and Locke High School where she graduated in 1987. Chanté moved to West Covina, California at the age of 22 with her two daughters, Brandi Taylor, age 4 and Desmiana Sheppard, age 1. Chanté later had three more children, Donielle Monegan, and twin boys , Jeremiah Monegan and Isaiah Nolan.

She is preceded in death by her father; grandmother, Effie Lee Andrews; and her uncle Sylvester Johnson.

Chanté is survived by her mother, Diane Miree; one brother, Morris Nolan, Sr.; two sisters, Arneta Nolan and Nicole Monegan; one god-sister, Angela Billingsley Coleman; her five children, Brandi Taylor, Desmiana Sheppard, Donielle Monegan, Isaiah Nolan, Jeremiah Monegan; two grandchildren, Cherrish Chanté Petty, Nehemiah Nolan Petty; and numerous aunts and uncles.
