Charles A. Garcia, 54, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 in San Antonio. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2013 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. Charles was born on May 7, 1959 in San Angelo to Sabino and Elizabeth (Flores) Garcia. Chuck served as a platoon Sergeant with the 1st Infantry Division where he served honorably for twelve years. He led his platoon during the Gulf War, where he received his disability. During that time he traveled to many states and foreign countries. His dream was to live in the mountains and become a mountain man. Lord merciful and loving god, we place our beloved brother, son and our hope in you. Our sins and shame you take away. Our tears you gently wipe away with your love. Remove the darkness of death from his eyes that he might rest in the tenderness of your embrace. Charles, (Chuck) was taken away too soon in the performance of his military service for our country. He loved each and every one of us, his family. Proceeded in death by his father, Sabino Garcia. Chuck is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Garcia of San Angelo; sister Linda & husband Raymond Moya of San Antonio and their daughter Tracy & husband Mike Deuel, Tracy's children Dylan & Aubrey Carson of Helotes, TX; brother George & wife, Annabella Garcia and their 6 children and grandchildren of San Angelo; sister Liz & husband, Ruben Garza and Liz's daughters Melisa & husband, Cameron Dudley and Melisa's son Jordan Fernandez-Tambunga of Lubbock; Annie & Rene Fernandez of San Angelo; brother Bob & wife, Arlene Garcia and their daughters Marina & husband, Gabriel Llanas, and their children Christopher Llanas & Josephina(Josie) Llanas of George West, TX and daughter Jesse Garcia of San Angelo.
