Charlie Webster Boone, 94, born to Noah Webster Boone and wife Clara on May 24, 1920 in Sayre, OK. He graduated from Parker High School in Parker, AZ where he played football. Charlie worked 36yrs of dedicated and loyal service, seeing changes from chemical process to Byron Jackson to B.J. Hughes then to B.J. Titan Services. He was a plant manager most of this time. He was sent to Jacksboro, TX to start up a new plant and retired there. He joined Jackson Country Club and played golf almost every day, making lots of golf buddies. After 31yrs Charlie and his wife, Norma Jean moved back home to San Angelo. They found a beautiful town house at Village East Retirement Center and made many wonderful friends. He loved to play Bingo, Bunko and a lot of other activities. The family would like to extend a warm thank you to Mark Davis and his wonderful staff for assisting with making our dreams come true; along the staff of Gentiva Hospice and House of Hope especially nurse Helen. Charlie was a Lt. in the U.S. Air Force and loved Hill Crest Baptist and all its members. Charlie is survived by his wife and soul mate Norma Jean Teagarden Boone; one of his best friends and step-daughter Brenda Sue Holubec and husband, Edward of Rowena; the apple of his eye, granddaughter Tabitha Jean Sadowski and husband, Geoffrey of San Antonio and brother Jack Boone of Waxahachie. Family visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday, July 2nd at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2pm on Thursday, July 3rd at Miles Cemetery with Rev. Todd Peebles officiating under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, And I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you And learn from me, for I am gentle and humble In heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
