Cynthia (Cindy) Higgins Jetton went to be with our Heavenly Father in the early morning hours of Jan. 2, 2014. Cindy was born to Floyd and Alma Gene (Kayo) Higgins on Feb 4, 1958. Cindy graduated from Lake View High School and married the love of her life, Ronnie Jetton on June 27, 1975. She and her husband spent all of their time together in the San Angelo and surrounding area. Cindy was employed by the Tom Green County Vehicle Registration Dept in 1976. In 1996 Cindy was elected as Tom Green County Tax Assessor and was still holding that position. She greatly enjoyed helping people and greatly appreciated and cherished the people she met and worked with over the many years. Cindy had also become a member of the Community Life Group at Glenn Meadows Baptist Church and spoke very highly of the people and experiences she had there. Cindy is preceded in death by her father Floyd R. Higgins and by her husband Ronnie G. Jetton. Cindy is survived by her son Justin Jetton and wife Kelsey. Her mother Kayo Higgins and sister Linda Rees and husband Bill. Cindy is also survived by her brother in law Lynn Jetton and wife Linda and sister in law Sandra Blanke and husband Henry. She also had a special mother in law Hazel Jetton. She also had three awesome grandsons Garrett, Riley and Hudson Jetton and one special little girl Bella Floyd Halfmann. Nieces and nephews Eric Rees and wife Teresa, Neal Jetton and wife Katy, Lacee Cleland and husband Robbie and Laurie Edmiston and fiancé Tony Cruz. Viewing will be 12:00noon to 8:00pm on Saturday January 4, 2014 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Family visitation will be 2:00pm to 5:00pm on Sunday January 5, 2014 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:00am Monday January 6, 2014 at Glen Meadows Baptist Church with Pastor Mack Roller, officiating. Burial to follow at Grape Creek Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be John South, Kevin Allbright, Michael Ascol, Shaylen Ascol, Bob Simpkins, David Jackson, Curtis Wullmen, Jim Dowd and Peter Gregg. The family of Cindy wishes to extend their thanks to Shannon Medical Center, Hospice of San Angelo and Rotary House of Hope at Baptist Retirement Community. They would also like to give a special thanks to the Alexander Family. Donations may be given to the American Diabetes Association in Cindy's memory.
