Connie Olvera

Connie (Concha) Olvera, 70, of San Angelo passed away Monday, March 31, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Friday, April 4, 2014 at St. Margaret's Catholic Church with Father Pugidela officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Raymond Olvera, Ernesto Olvera, Angel Olvera, David Olvera, Jonathan Olvera, and Frankie Leyva. Concha was born on October 8, 1943 to Angel and Consuelo (Portillo) Ortega in Presidio, Texas. She married Ernesto Olvera on Presidio, Texas in 1963. She worked as a hairstylist and was a loving mother and grandmother. Everyone that knew her will miss her. Concha was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother. Concha is survived by her sons, Raymond Olvera and his wife Susie; Ernesto Olvera; Angel Olvera and his wife Selenn; David Olvera; daughter, Lisa Olvera all of San Angelo; a sister, Rosa Leyva of Alpine; and grandchildren, Andrea Olvera; Alex Olvera; Jonathan Olvera; Brandon Olvera; Noah Olvera; Aydan Olvera;and loving pet, Fisher. The family would like to give a special "Thank you" to nurse, Rene Rendon and the Hospice of San Angelo staff for their care.
