Consuelo M. Garza

On Friday May 15, 2015 Consuelo Martinez Garza went to be with the lord. She passed away peacefully. She was born on February 4, 1931 in Del Rio, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents Rumaldo and Dolores Martinez. Her husband Jesus Garza and her son Eugene M Garza. She is survived by her children Jesus (Jesse) Garza and wife Elva, Ruben Garza and wife Elizabeth, Ramiro Garza and wife Rita, and Marisella Garza Gutierrez; Grandchildren Richard and Ruben Duane Garza, Ramiro and Jesse Garza, Eugene and Jennifer Garza, Andrea Pena, Ana-Alicia Hudgins, and Maggie Chavarria. She leaves behind many friends along with numerous nieces and nephews and several great grandchildren. She had 5 sisters and 2 brothers. She was a wonderful mom, grandma, and great-grandmother. She loved to cook, play BINGO and sing. She loved to enter dance contest in her younger years with her beloved. Anyone who knew her knew she loved her family very much. She passed on many things to family that will be treasured. She lived a long and prosperous life and will be sorely missed. She worked for many years at Baptist Memorial and Shannon Medical Center. She also enjoyed her years preparing meals at her family run restaurant Chitos. Pallbearers will be Eugene M. Garza IV, T.J Pena, Ruben Duane Garza, Raymond Garza and Alfonso Garza. The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to Cedar Manor Nursing Home, Hospice of San Angelo and Dr. Chinn and Michelle for their compassion and care. Rosary will be 7 PM Monday, May 18, 2015 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will 10 AM Tuesday, May 19, 2015 St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Joey Faylona officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Services are with Robert Massie Funeral Home.
