Darla Michelle Mullins

Darla Michelle Mullins went to be with her Lord on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the age of 46. Darla is survived by her husband, Kyle Mullins; her son, Sergeant Zachery Mullins of Jacksonville, NC; her sister, Carla Kasberg and her husband, Eugene, of San Angelo, TX; two grandchildren, Layton Frazier and Kyle Mullins of Rockport, TX; her father and mother-in-law, Roland and Elsie Mullins of San Angelo, TX; nieces Lacy Allison of San Angelo, TX, Sabrina Leuthold of San Antonio, TX, and Brittany Lange of Houston, TX and their families; an aunt, Doris Cadenhead of Arlington, TX ; sisters and brother-in-law Rolynn Rose of Lubbock, TX, Kelli Cleveland of Rotan, TX, and Kelby Mullins of Rowlett, TX and their families. Darla was preceded in death by her mother, Darlene Davis; her father, Malcolm Davis; and a sister, Paula Davis. Darla was born on May 24, 1970 in Ballinger, TX to Malcolm and Darlene Davis. She received her GED from Howard County Junior College in San Angelo, TX and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Angelo State University in San Angelo, TX. She married the love of her life, Kyle Wayne Mullins, on May 21, 1994. Darla served as a nurse and ICU nurse at Shannon Medical Center, San Angelo, TX. She then continued her calling in nursing as an Organ Recovery Coordinator with the Texas Organ Sharing Alliance (TOSA) in San Angelo, TX and San Antonio, TX. She had immense pride for Kyle's career as Captain of Shavano Park Fire Department in San Antonio, TX as well as Zachery's Marine Corps career. She loved seeing them in uniform and sharing their successes with everyone. Darla had a smile and attitude that would light up a room. She embodied selflessness, compassion, and empathy. Darla chose joy every day and lived life to the fullest. She loved being with her family and loving on her grandbabies and great-nieces and nephews. Viewing will be 10:00am to 8:00pm on Thursday May 18, 2017 and 10:00am to 8:00pm with family visitation from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, May 19, 2017 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Darla's life at Robert Massie Funeral Home, 402 Rio Concho Dr, San Angelo, TX on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 2:00pm. Brother Charles Gray of Texarkana, AR will officiate the ceremony. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
