David Daniel Sanders, 88, of San Angelo passed away Friday, April 10, 2015 in a local care center. Memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Sunday, April 19, 2015 at the San Angelo Seventh-day Adventist Church, 110 East 18th Street, San Angelo. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. David was born October 1, 1926 to the late Dan and Pinkey (Martin) Sanders in Blackwell, Texas. He married Maxine Lindsey Sanders on November 25, 1948 in McCamey, Texas. He learned to weld in California during the War, and was innovate in his field of work, and solved many problems. He worked as a welder in five states, he was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, shared his faith through acts of kindness and good deeds. David was preceded in death by his parents; son, David Fulton Sanders; daughter, Kathy Jean Sanders; brother, Lydon Sanders. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Maxine; sisters, Wanda Hodges of Hickory Ridge, AR; Mary Westergard of Mesa, AZ; grandchildren, Michael Dean and Bridget Sanders; great grandchildren, Kimberly and Marcie Jones of Lee High Acres, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
