DEAN L. SODERBERG

Dr. Dean L. Soderberg, of Voss, was born March 25, 1924 in Pipestone, Minnesota to Elmer T. and Gertrude Larson Soderberg. A WWII survivor of the Battle of the Bulge, he returned to Minnesota to complete his college degree from the University of Minnesota, then earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1952. He began a long and productive career in providing for others, practicing in Duluth until 1968, then moving to Richardson, Texas to continue his dental practice until his retirement in 1990 to Voss, Texas. Dean passed this life on Sunday, April 17, 2005 at San Angelo Community Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Carney Soderberg. Those he leaves to cherish the memories of his life are his wife of 24 years, Charlene T. Soderberg; daughters Deanna Soderberg, of Garrison, MN; Jan Fournier of Duluth, MN; Marta Howard and husband Nat of Vienna, VA; son Scott Soderberg and wife, Mary of Duluth, MN. Seven grandchildren: Heather Tsetsi, Kristen Tsetsi, Brian Fournier, Laura Fournier, Eric Soderberg, Angela Soderberg and Marjorie Howard and special sister-in-law, Alice Soderberg of Baton Rouge, LA. Arrangements are made by Robert Massie Funeral Home. A private memorial service will be held at a later date with Rev. Helen McIver officiating.
